It was nice to see Christian with a friend. Heck, it was nice to see Christian with anyone, really. Ellie knew he had friends, but she never really met any of them. Just a couple boys who would come hang out, play games - and other guy things, she supposed. They were nice boys, all things considered. Ellie had not, however, heard of Sophia.
Chris was usually quiet and reserved around girls, or at least Ellie had always been led to believe so. He'd kind of freeze up, get really tense, and babble a bunch of nonsense. It was cute in it's own way, but she could see where he'd be so...hesitant to have a girl like Sophia hanging around. Looking in the rearview mirror between the two, Ellie chuckled as she set her attention back on the road.
The beige-colored sedan putted up to the small, single-story house. Their home, the "Fils-aimé estate" as family and friends joked, was tiny compared to a lot of the homes Ellie saw in Aurozora. It was a humble living though, and she liked it as it was. "No problem, Sophia!" She laughed, a little nervously as she prayed she knew what the science subject was for the test. "It's always nice to help out a friend of Chris's. So don't hesitate to ask for help in the future, too!"
That was another thing. Sometimes Chris didn't tell her what the subject of these studies were, and that made helping difficult. Ellie didn't understand some of the newer stuff they were teaching kids these days.
Chris remained relatively quiet, only really nodding with a monotonous "Mhmm" when Sophia expressed her confidence in their passing grade. This was about as excited as he got in a given day, she could see it in his face. It was almost sad that he wasn't more...expressive.
Ellie led the two into the house, hanging a left as soon as they entered into a small dining room. Wood, wood everywhere - the chairs, the table, the floors. It was...rustic, for lack of a better word. "We'll set up here for now. Do you guys want any snacks or something to drink before we get started?" She asked, emptying her purse on the table.
"Oh, and what kind of science test are we studying for today? That might help me out a bit as far as helping you guys go!"
